These solar carports allows Worth to provide covered parking as an added value to their tenants and an opportunity for CPS Energy customers to lower their energy bills with community solar.

Rush Enterprises, the premier solutions provider for the commercial vehicle industry, partnered with the Big Sun Community Solar program to offer solar carports at their trucking center in Converse, Texas. With 3,500 solar panels, this is the largest solar carport installation in Texas and provides shade to 181 semi trucks and powers approximately 125 homes.

Baywood Hotels, one of the nation’s fastest growing, privately owned hotel companies, offers some of the most innovative solutions in the hotel industry. They partnered with Big Sun Solar to install rooftop solar at four of their hotel properties, including Hilton Garden Inn, Homewood Suites, Holiday Inn Express and Tru by Hilton.

Cavender is the first auto dealer in San Antonio to install solar carports at five of its San Antonio-area dealerships and collision center. The carports provides Cavender's inventory of vehicles with protection from inclement South Texas weather, while providing valuable renewable energy savings on their electric bills.

The Jenkins Organization, Inc. is a fully integrated real estate company specializing in the self-storage and RV park industries with expertise in the areas of acquisition, development, ownership, management, and disposition. We worked with Jenkins to install rooftop solar at their ATX Self Storage facility located in Austin, Texas.

Started in 2004, Will Smith Zoo School is a fully licensed preschool and is one of the only preschools in San Antonio that uses nature as the integrating thread tying together the school’s philosophy, methodologies, classroom design and outdoor spaces. It was important that their school had a sustainable design and solar helped them earn LEED platinum certification, the first campus in the US to have this certification.

Owned by Rush Enterprises, the Los Cuernos Ranch located in Cotulla, TX offers 9,600 acres of hunting, on-staff gourmet chefs, relaxing activities including game room and conference room for customer meetings. Big Sun was able to significantly reduce the operating expenses at the ranch by installing a ground mounted solar system.
